Cuisipro Peanut Butter & Jelly Spreader

The Cuisipro Peanut Butter and Jelly Spreader is an all-in-one peanut butter and jelly sandwich spreader. The problem of making one of these delicious lunchtime sandwiches has always been the risk of mixing the peanut butter jar with the jelly or the jelly jar with the peanut butter. Flat Graters

The science behind Super Glide Technology is based in the repeated grooved pattern that is spread evenly across the face of the grating surface. The grooves provide 2 distinct benefits beyond other graters. First, the groove reduces resistance, making grating effortless. Second, the elongates groove shape lengthens each individual blade, so each blade has a greater cutting surface that comes in contact with food, therefore producing more gratings per stroke.

Each grater is designed to provide the best grip possible for safe grating. The rasps and flat graters each have an ergonomic shaped handle with non-slip finish and non-slip ends that allow for grating stability. The box grater has a non-slip handle and base and the dual grater features non-slip ends.

Rasps

The rasps and flat graters include a snap on, clear protective cover. When the protective cover is snapped on the back of the grater, it doubles as a container to catch grated ingredients. The cover features both U.S. and metric measurements. The box grater includes a bonus ginger grater that shreds fresh ginger root while leaving unwanted fibers behind.

The rotary grater includes two interchangeable blades: coarse and parmesan, as well as a wide hopper to handle large chunks of cheese and a a non-slip grip handle.

Edible Schoolyard Garden

Greensboro, NC (May 2010) – The Extra Ingredient, a Greensboro, NC kitchen store, coordinated efforts to stock the teaching kitchen of the new Edible Schoolyard that opened at the Greensboro Children’s Museum (GCM) on May 22, 2010.  The Edible Schoolyard at GCM is the first of its kind at a museum in the country and the fourth official affiliate of the program created by Alice Waters and The Chez Panisse Foundation.

Herb Garden

The Greensboro Children’s Museum’s Edible Schoolyard includes a half-acre, four-season, organic garden filled with vegetables, herbs, fruits, flowers, a pond, a chicken coup, outdoor classrooms and a teaching kitchen where children and families can create recipes, cook food and share meals and conversation together.  Visitors to the Edible Schoolyard will learn about the relationship among food, nature and life through organic gardening (planting, growing, harvesting), preparing and cooking organic food simply and nutritiously.  The Edible Schoolyard program will become a model for other children’s museums nationwide promoting health and wellness.
